Solmust and microwave company Senfit participated in Agritechnica 2025 in Hannover as part of the Nordic Pavilion invited by Linköping University.
The purpose of the participation was to assess the international relevance and
potential application areas of microwave-based soil measurement technology. The event offered an opportunity to observe global trends in agricultural machinery, soil sensing and data-driven field operations, and to gather insights from discussions with researchers, machine manufacturers and agricultural professionals.
During the exhibition, several thematic trends were clearly visible, including:
the increasing interest in soil condition monitoring,
the development of real-time data solutions for field operations,
automation and variable-rate applications,
sustainability-focused machinery innovations.
For Solmust and Senfit, Agritechnica provided a structured environment to collect qualitative feedback on the ongoing development of microwave soil sensing, particularly regarding its potential integration into existing agricultural machinery workflows. Discussions helped clarify technical expectations related to sensor placement, data formats, and potential use cases for soil moisture and density measurements.
The feedback gathered during the event will be used to guide further development, validation testing, and collaboration planning. Participation supported Solmust’s understanding of how real-time soil condition data could fit within broader international agricultural technology ecosystems.
